Season 1 of the Healing Jesus Campaign took the team to 5 towns in South Africa (Thabong, Sebokeng, Embalenhle, Kwa Guqa and Mamelodi).
Mamelodi (which means Mother of Melodies), a township set up by the then apartheid government in northeast of Pretoria, South Africa is home to the largest AIDS Hospice Center in South Africa with 140 beds available free of charge.
The Healing Jesus Compassion outreach visited 3 orphanages and an old age home, all in Mamelodi.
The first orphanage has 104 children whiles the second and third have 8 children each. The home for the aged has a population of 98 aged people most of who are immobile and confined to wheelchairs.
Items to each of these places were presented on behalf of Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills by the team.
