the deaf and dumb, widows of pastors, the poor and the sick on a constant basis."

The Help the Helpless Charity, a ministry under Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, organized its second end-of-the-year Beggars' Party, on Saturday, 19th December, 2015.

Throughout the year, the Help the Helpless Charity has taken care of a number of beggars every month. This party was organized to reach out to more beggars in Accra, Ghana. Beggars were called and encouraged to invite their friends who were also beggars.

The party began at 1pm, at the Fred Price Chapel forecourt, Qodesh. The beggars were given new T-shirts to wear at the party. There were drinks, water, sumptuous meal, and lovely dessert. The program was filled with activities such as dancing competition, testimonies from the lips of some beggars, and cutting of the huge party cake!

The highlight of the party, to the shock of the beggars, was the surprise that each beggar was going home with a special Christmas hamper! They were excited and overwhelmed. One thing couldn't be missed, the smiles on their faces as they received their hampers. The hampers contained a wide range of provisions, such as rice, cooking oil, butter, biscuits, milk, bathing soap, washing soap, toothpaste, canned fish, bathroom slippers, mosquito coil, and powdered drink. And each beggar was given an envelope with money to help with transporting them back home.

The beggars' helpers and children were not left out, as they took home gift bags of provisions as well. Walking canes were also given to the blind.

About 200 beggars and their helpers were at the party. The party ended with a closing prayer from one of the MCs. As some beggars were helped to get taxis home, others carried their hampers happily out of the venue.

We believe the scripture below was fulfilled, and great is Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills' reward.

"But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just."
Luke 14:13, 14
